The Roshield ProVent acts as a physical barrier preventing a wide range of rodents and insects from gaining access to building cavities. The vent cover is straightforward to install and acts as the first line of defence to prevent ingress, which often leads to an established infestation.

The vent has a unique adhesive track around the outer perimeter of the vent that allows a bead of suitable adhesive to be placed, which results in a wide surface grab when placed onto surfaces; this is a unique feature not found on other brands of vents. Alternatively, installers can use screws included in this listing; caps are included for a clean finish.

Our vent has been manufactured in the UK from recycled plastics. The majority of our plastics are sourced from car bumpers and dashboards to minimise the use of virgin materials. In addition, Fort Products are taking significant steps to minimise plastic and environmental waste, including the outer packaging, to be more sustainable as a mail-order company.

We always recommend that a rodent infestation is controlled before undertaking any prevention methods. For example, rats and squirrels are likely to chew the frame of the vent if installed to an active infestation; whilst this device will work, and control should be undertaken to minimise device damage when controlled new rodent damage does not occur.

This vent mustn’t be used to block vents associated with boilers or gas, as this will cause a carbon monoxide risk.
