Rodent & Insect Mesh Vent Proofing Cover

Protective mesh pest barrier to prevent rodents and insects from gaining access to building cavities

FAQ’s

What is the purpose of ProVent pest proofing guards?

We have designed the cover to act as a physical barrier to prevent pests from gaining access to internal cavities through damaged air bricks.

By installing the barrier you are limiting the access route and vastly lowering the risk of infestations establishing with both rodents and insects.

Which pests will the cover stop?

The vent will act as a physical barrier against a wide range of pests, including rodents and insects.

Mice often use holes within air bricks as a fast and convenient entrance point and this mesh guard will prevent access.

Insects such as bees and wasps can make nests in air bricks and so the proofing cover will prevent this from occuring.

Should I treat any active infestations before I install the cover?

Yes; it is very important that any current pest infestation is removed before the installation of vents.

Installing vents when pest activity is still present will simply encourage the pest to look for alternative access points.

This is especially important for larger rodents such as rats and squirrels who can create considerably more pressure to the air vent.

Are there any limitations to the product?

Yes. Whilst this vent is suitable for all types of pests, it is important to note that larger rodents such as rats and squirrels can damage the outer plastic frame. However, this is generally unlikely especially if the infestation is no longer active.

For best results the cover should be installed before or after an infestation occurs.

Will this control my rodent or insect infestation?

Maybe. It all depends on the individual infestation and access points.

The vent is a highly recommended device and used throughout the pest control industry as a method to prevent infestations from establishing. Initially, pests are looking for an accessible access entrance into the building and air bricks are a prime access point.

Any existing infestation should be removed before installing vents.
